Hutchison Ports Europe Intermodal and RTB CARGO: 10 years of successful collaboration

Hutchison Ports Europe Intermodal and RTB CARGO today celebrate the fact that they have been working together successfully for more than 10 years. The cooperation between the intermodal network operator and the traction supplier started in 2013 with the train connections between Rotterdam and Venlo. RTB CARGO now also supplies traction on other Hutchison Ports Europe Intermodal connections.

Hutchison Ports Europe Intermodal (HPEI), until recently known as European Gateway Services, is the intermodal network operator of container terminal operator Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam (ECT). Through HPEI, ECT wants to contribute to efficient and, above all, sustainable hinterland transport in Europe.
HPEI offers its customers an extensive network of rail and barge connections between the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp and many important regions in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Austria. For the physical implementation of the intermodal transport, HPEI is collaborating with rail and barge operators.

The cooperation with RTB CARGO has proven to be a successful one, RTB CARGO provides HPEI with the train connections between Rotterdam and Venlo, more than 20 per week, and to and from southern Germany. Two of the core regions where HPEI operates.
