EGS becomes Hutchison Ports Europe Intermodal
Today, 10 May 2023, European Gateway Services (EGS), the intermodal network operator of Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam (ECT), continues under a new name. The new name is: Hutchison Ports Europe Intermodal.
EGS further expands its services to and from southern Germany
European Gateway Services (EGS) is increasing the frequency of the rail connection between Rotterdam and Nuremberg. From Friday 17 February, a train will depart from Rotterdam to Nuremberg and vice versa 4 times a week.
A new barge corridor: the Green Heart Corridor
EGS, together with inland shipping partner Danser, has entered a new corridor: the Green Heart Corridor. At least three times a week, barges carrying containers will sail between the Overslag Terminal Bergambacht (OTB) and the Maasvlakte.
Intermodal Marketplace 2022
On October 27, EGS attended Intermodal Marketplace 2022 in Antwerp. This event focused on the diversity of transport modes at the Port of Antwerp.

Participation in Joint Corridors Off Road Programme
Today is the festive signing of the Rotterdam Corridor and the Limburg Express at the Port of Rotterdam Authority. With this signing, parties officially join the Joint Corridors Off Road program of the ‘Topsector Logistiek’.

EGS makes use of modernised wagon fleet of RTB CARGO
European Gateway Services’ (EGS) railpartner RTB CARGO completed the modernisation of its container wagon fleet. The RTB CARGO trains that EGS deploys in its network are now equipped with a highly modern fleet of wagons that offer advantages in terms of efficiency and noise emission.
