Ever Given arrived at ECT Delta terminal

Since today, Thursday 29 July, the Ever Given has been moored at the quayside of the ECT Delta terminal. In close cooperation, Evergreen Marine Corporation and Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam (ECT) have worked out a plan to handle the Ever Given in Rotterdam. All continental European containers will be unloaded in Rotterdam.

Venlo Express - Your trusted partner

ECT has more than 55 years of experience with container handling and is famous for its innovative concepts. Hutchison Ports Venlo was founded at the beginning of the eighties as the first connections between Rotterdam and Venlo were established. This contributed strongly to the development of the logistics sector in the Venlo region.More than 10 years ago, we introduced European Gateway Services (EGS) to further strengthen intermodal transport concepts between the deepsea ports and the European hinterland.

EGS' General Manager Paul Zoeter genomineerd voor 'Railperson of the Year'

During Multimodaal Online 2021 the shortlist for ‘Railperson of the Year’ was announced. We are proud to say EGS’ General Manager Paul Zoeter is one of the three nominees.

Your cargo quickly to (Southern) Germany

The consequences of the event in the Suez Canal will remain noticeable for a while. In the media, the focus is on the handling of vessels in European seaports. The crux, however, lies in serving the customers in the hinterland as well as possible, by ensuring that export containers do not miss their connection and that import cargo is available in the warehouses as quickly as possible.

EGS now also calls at Regensburg; Southern Germany increasingly served

Rotterdam, March 4, 2021 - European Gateway Services (EGS) is further expanding its network in Southern Germany. With the new connection between Rotterdam and Regensburg in Bavaria, a fourth destination is added to the EGS network in Southern Germany. Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart (Kornwestheim) were already part of the EGS network. EGS is the transport product of Hutchison Ports ECT Rotterdam.

Your cargo, safe & secure

You do not want your valuable cargo to disappear because containers are opened during transport at railway yards or company sites. European Gateway Services (EGS) therefore offers its customers extra security.Almost all wagons that EGS uses in its network have so-called security bars.

All EGS freightwagons equipped with silent brakes

Nearly 100 percent of rail freightwagons will have silent brakes by 2025; this is the result of European legislation. A great ambition! Much better, however, is that European Gateway Services (EGS) already operates these wagons between Rotterdam and Venlo and between Rotterdam and Southern Germany since 2014.
